The Eagles continued to defend the home nest with a 13-1 win Tuesday against Boca Christian. The win makes CCA a perfect 4-0 at home and 7-4 for the season. Knox Poole won in his first start of the year and is now 2-0. Knox leads the team with an ERA of 1.00 in ten appearances. He tossed three innings against the Blazers and was relieved by Stephen Barnett and Ryan Reilly who combined for two scoreless innings.
Nick Kumar doubled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored twice to pace the offense. Jonathan Benestad also had two hits, two runs and two RBI. Stephen Barnett walked twice, doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice.
