Eagles Post Third In A Row 8-3 at Sagemont

The Eagles extended their win streak to three games with a 8-3 district win at Sagemont on Tuesday afternoon. Austin Sovay struck out nine and walked none over five innings, though he did plunk three batters while improving to 2-1. Spots four, five and six in the order (Nick Kumar, Stephen Barnett and Jonathan Benestadt) went 6-10 with five RBI and scored five of the Eagle runs. Ryan Reilly (2-4), Andrew Gottfried (1-3) and Jonathan Gregory (1-4) also scored for CCA.

CCA also moved to 3-1 in the district to remain in a first place tie with Coral Springs Christian. Another district game looms Friday on the road, under the lights at Highlands Christian.
