A bad first inning became a terrible first inning in which Pine Crest plated nine runs to effectively put the game out of reach and CCA fell 13-3 on Saturday morning. The Eagles should have been out of the inning on several occasions but errors allowed thee Panthers to extend the frame.
Austin Sovay suffered his first loss of the season and the Eagles dropped to 7-5 overall. The best chance CCA has to come back was in the third when they scored three runs but they left the bases loaded and never threatened again. Next up is a non conference game against Pine Ridge of Deltona and then a big District game next Saturday at Coral Springs Christian.
