Walks Errors Ground Eagles at CS Charter

Nine walks and four errors were enough to let one slip away Tuesday in a 5-4 loss at Coral Springs Charter. CCA held early leads of 3-0 and 4-1 but Charter had runners on base all night, compliments of all the free passes issued by Eagle pitchers. The lead disappeared in the sixth when the Panthers pushed across two runs without a hit.

Nick Kumar and Andrew Gottfried were each 2-3. Kumar had RBI singles in the first and third innings. The loss evens the Eagles record at 2-2 with the district opener up next on Friday at Calvary Christian Academy.
