Gushue SEC Freshman Of The Week

December CCA graduate Taylor Gushue homered on the first pitch he saw Friday night against Call State Fullerton as the starting DH for the #1 ranked Florida Gators. On Saturday, Gushue tripled in the winning runs in the sixth inning of a 4-2 Gator win. For his efforts, the SEC today named Gushue its Freshman Baseball Player Of The Week. Gushue is the second CCA Eagle to be named Freshman Baseball Player Of The Week in his conference; Preston Gainey (CCA '09) having  accomplished the feat twice last season in the Patriot League as a pitcher.
