100 Wins For Moose - CCA 6, Pace 1

The 2012 CCA Eagles delivered the 100th win as a high school head coach for Greg Mucerino Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 win against Monsignor Pace in the final game of the Flanagan Nike OTS Tournament. CCA improves to 2-1 and leaves the Flanagan Tournament with a better understanding of what they could be this year.

Moose's 100th win was Austin Sovay's first of the year. The senior right-hander backed up his strong outing on Monday with five innings of five hit ball and five strikeouts. He was efficient as well tossing only 69 pitches. Knox Poole came on for the final two frames and baffled Pace by inducing five fly outs and a strikeout.

Andrew Liberty was 2-2 with 2 RBI. Ryan Reilly and Abraham Alejandro scored twice. CCA put up four runs in the fourth and tacked on two more in the fourth which was more than enough for Sovay and Poole.

The next game is Tuesday night at Coral Springs Charter. On Friday, CCA opens at home against with district rival Coral Springs Christian Academy.
