Up 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh with one out, the Eagles let one slip away losing 6-5 at WA on Monday. Westminster rallied with five hits against reliever Andrew Liberty to even CCA's district record at 1-1 and overall record at 3-3. Jonathan Benestad (3-4) with a double / RBI) and Stephen Barnett (2-2 with a double / 2 RBI) lead the Eagle offensive attack though CCA had many opportunities to pad an early lead.
After the tough loss, the Eagles get a chance to put it in the rear view mirror with a home game today against Highlands Christian. Game time is 3:30 to allow time for the annual Heart To Heart celebration.
