The seventh inning proved to be more kindly to CCA today as Abraham Alejandro drove a two strike fastball deep to left with the bases loaded to lift the Eagles to a 2-1 come from behind win against Highlands Christian. Knox Poole picked up the win in relief and CCA improves to 4-3 and 2-1 in Distrcit 14-3A.
Aleajndro and Stephen Barnett provided a lift from the bottom of the lineup. Abe was 1-2 with a run scored while Barnett cracked his first triple of the season and added a single. Again, starter Austin Sovay kept CCA in the game with four solid innings of four-hit baseball.
The Eagles travel to Pope John Paul in Boca Raton on Saturday to Christen their new diamond. Game time is 2 PM.
