CCA 14, Highlands 10

The game started 45 minutes late but after CCA jumped out to a 14-1 lead in the fourth inning, Eagles fans thought they would get home at a decent hour. However, Highlands Christian took CCA to seven inning to make the Eagles earn a 14-10 victory Monday night.

Emilio DeSilva continued to be enough reason to go watch the Eagles play. Not only does he play the game with a joy and exuberance that is a delight, but he is on fire the last few weeks. DeSilva lead off with a sharp double in the first and scored. That was the beginning of a 4-4 night which included 3 runs and 3 RBI. Dalton DiNatale is coming alive at the right time as he hammered balls all night. Dino had two doubles, two RBI and a run scored and both of his outs were smoked on a line.

Tyler Middlebrooks got his second win in yeoman fashion working 5 1/3 disjointed innings. Ty started, was relived by DeSilva in the fourth and returned to pitch into the seventh. He gave way to Chris Walkerow with the bases loaded in the seventh. Walk threw seven pitches to get the last two outs and earn his second save.
