Eagles Win Third In A Row - Unbeaten at Home

Visting St. Albans (Washington, DC) scored first but CCA came right back and went on to a 5-2 win at home Tuesday. Andrew Liberty got the win with five innings of two hit baseball and made a couple of nice plays defensively to help himself out. Knox Poole and Andrew Gottfried finished up with Gottfried picking up his second save in as many games.

Nick Kumar continues to swing a hot bat as he went 2-3 with a double. Gottfried drove in a run as well when the Eagles strung together three straight hits in the bottom of the first. Sharp base running lead to a few more runs as well. Andrew Liberty scored after advancing on an infield out and seeing the throw to third go wild. Ryan Reilly also took advantage of sloppy Bulldog defense by reaching on an error and coming around to eventually steal home.

This is the second time CCA has won three in a row. The Eagles are 10-5 with a district game scheduled at home against Sagemont. CCA has not lost at home and stand 6-0 on their own diamond.
