Eagles 2-0 In District with Win at Westminster Academy

Starting pitcher Chris Walkerow settled down after a shaky first inning to keep CCA in the game long enough for the bats to come alive in 9-5 win at WA. The Lions walked Taylor Gushue 4 time so Tyler Middlebrooks and Dalton DiNatale made them pay by driving in 7 runs. Walk pitched 5 1/3 and struck out five.

Mistakes on the bases and nine strikeouts kept the score from being more in CCA's favor. It was great to see Ryan Lowrey on the mound after being in a car accident the day before. The first eight games of the year have been as tough as any stretch that CCA has played and is now behind. Both games next week are on the road - Tuesday at Sagemont and Thursday night at Highland Christian.
