Eagles Win Home Opener 11-0

CCA needed only four-and-a-half innings to knock off Sagemont 11-0 in the 2011 home opener. The win evens the team's overall record at 2-2 and 1-0 in District 14 2A.

Seth Natal got his first win with three scoreless innings. Emilo DeSilva tripled and drove in three, Chris Walkerow continued his timely hitting with two knocks and two RBI and Tyler Middlebrooks went 2-2 with two runs scored.

Austin Sovay struck out two in one inning of work and Ryan Lowrey struck out the side in his inning of work. Lowrey leads the club with twelve K's and only 2 walks in 6 2/3 innings.

NOTES: Taylor Gushue has hit safely in all four games. Josh Viveros got his first Varsity base hit. Six Eagles starters are hitting .300 or better and the team is hitting .304 overall. The Eagles stole their first two bases of the season today (Walkerow and Avila).
