The Eagles dropped a 5-4 decison to Columbus High at the Flanagan Tournament but earned a spot in the final game by winning the tie breaker. All three teams finished 1-1 but CCA allowed the fewest runs to make the prestigious Championship Game. Likely opponent is Flanagan who jumped out to an early lead against Pace in the night game.
Taylor Gushue homered, Stephen Barnett tripled, Dalton DiNatale doubled and Anthony Avila drove in two. Ryan Lowrey pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out six.
