Eagles Lose 5-2 to Estero

Early walks and errors take CCA out of the game as they fall 5-2 to Estero. Four walks and an error in the first lead to five unearned runs - all that CCA would allow. Estero starter Matt Pearce improved to 5-0 with six inning of work including 8 K's. CCA out hit Estero 5-3 but were doomed by sloppy play early in the game. The Eagles left the bases loaded in the first after scoring one run.

After the first, Seth Natal tossed shutout baseball and allowed only two hits. Ryan Lowrey also threw blanks for two innings to give the Eagles a chance to come back. But CCA could only scratch out one more run in the seventh.

Next game is at Venice High School Tuesday against Dwyer. Game time is 2:30 PM.
