Senior Emilio DeSilva cracked two Grand Slams, drove in nine runs and struck out three in a 19-0 CCA victory over the Boyd Anderson Cobras Tuesday night. The game, played at North Broward Prep, was the first live action for the 2011 Eagles.
Starting pitcher Seth Natal struck out all six batters he faced in two innings of work. In fact, CCA pitchers recorded 14 of the 15 outs by virtue of strikeouts. Knox Poole and Ryan Lowrey added five more K's to the pitching totals.
Next up for the Eagles is Dade Christian Thursday afternoon at North Broward Prep. Senior Chris Walkerow and Junior Austin Sovay are slated to pitch.
